The Challenge
Managing cricket player auctions manually often leads to confusion, slow processes, and inconsistent data. Teams struggle to track budgets, player availability, sold vs unsold status, and overall auction progress. The older tools the organizers used weren’t built for speed or clarity. Data entry was messy, the interface wasn’t user-friendly, and real-time updates were almost impossible.
They needed a system that could keep up with the pace of a live auction — fast, organized, and accurate.
Our Approach
We designed a fast, intuitive auction management system using React, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The goal was to simplify the entire flow: from adding players, bidding, and marking sold/unsold, to tracking team budgets with real-time updates.
The design focuses on clarity and speed. Every module — player creation, bidding screen, team view, budget analytics — was built to reduce friction for organizers and give complete control during the auction.
Key updates included:
Player Management
A clean form to add players with photos, roles, base price, and personal details. Players can be added to the auction in one click.
Live Auction Screen
A real-time bidding interface with:
- Current bid controls
- Instant budget updates
- Quick “Sell” or “Mark Unsold” options
Everything stays smooth during fast bidding rounds.
Team & Budget View
Each team gets a clear card showing:
- Remaining budget
- Players purchased
- Money spent
- Player list with photos and prices
This gives organizers full visibility during the auction.
Sold & Unsold Tracking
- Separate screens display sold players, unsold players, and allow relisting with one tap.
Export & Controls
- Data can be exported anytime, and unsold players can be relisted instantly.
